BLACK STONE CHERRY: 'In My Blood' Video Released
February 27, 2012According to The Pulse Of Radio, Kentucky rockers BLACK STONE CHERRY have released a new music video for their current Top 15 rock radio single "In My Blood", taken from the band's third album, "Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea". The documentary-style video follows Private First Class (PFC) Randy Hirneisen, a 20-year-old U.S. Army soldier stationed in Europe, as he is deployed in Afghanistan, redeployed back to Germany, and finally sent home to Augusta, Georgia, where his wife Cindy Torres introduces him to their two-month-old son Randy Hirneisen Jr. for the first time.
As part of the celebration surrounding Hirneisen's homecoming, BLACK STONE CHERRY played a special surprise six-song acoustic set on January 16 for the soldier, his family and friends.
Although BLACK STONE CHERRY has a number of family members and friends who are or have been in the military, singer Chris Robertson told The Pulse Of Radio that the song "In My Blood" itself is open to interpretation. "When you write a song, you write it for what you feel, but you hope people interpret it to how they feel," he said.
BLACK STONE CHERRY has also kicked off a new online campaign called "What's In Your Blood?" in which they invite fans to share their stories of what's in their blood — whatever that means. Fans can submit stories through the band's YouTube channel and a winner will be chosen on March 31. The band will play a private acoustic set for the winner and his or her friends in their hometown.
BLACK STONE CHERRY will tour Europe through the end of March before returning to the U.S. for a new round of dates beginning on April 12 in Nashville.
